SIBC reported improved access to secondary education: year 9 progression to year 10 reached 84.1%, year 11 transition reached 44.7%, and year 12 access rose to 19%. National pass rates were 52.9% for year 9, 65% for year 11, and 53.8% for year 12, while mathematics and science at year 9 and mathematics at year 11 remained areas of concern.
